East Asia and Pacific Cities: Expanding Opportunities for the Urban Poor

By 2018, half of East Asia Pacific's population is expected to be living in cities—more than 1.2 billion people in all, or 1/3 of the world's urban population. At this rapid pace of urbanization, many cities can't deliver on access to jobs, essential infrastructure and services to all, leading to inequality and social tensions.
